Charity reports $8,964 still needed to continue to support soup kitchen and food bank through the end of this fiscal year

The Upper Room Angels' 25th annual fundraising campaign for the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry's Soup Kitchen and Food Bank began Labour Day 2013 with a goal of $84,000 or 1,615 angels.
As a result of 1,373 memberships being renewed and 70 new members that came aboard, the annual campaign brought in a total of $75,036.
The angels is non-denominational.
Each week the angels contribute $1,600 to the ministry to help with the purchase of food and supplies needed to assist its clientele. It requires 172 more angels to make up the shortfall of $8,964 to enable the organization to continue the weekly contributions through the end of this fiscal year September. The angels do not solicit by phone or house to house calls.
It is never too late to be an angel. Membership is $52 ($1 for each week of the year). Any individual or group that would like to be an angel is encouraged to send a $52 cheque or money order to The Upper Room Angels, c/o The URHM Food Bank, 33 Belmont St., Charlottetown, P.E.I., C1A5G9. Charitable receipts are issued.
