P.E.I.'s Rose Cousins nominated for a Juno award

SUMMERSIDE — Kensington native, singer/songwriter Rose Cousins, has been nominated for a Juno award.

The nominations were announced this morning.

Cousins’ latest effort, We Have Made A Spark, has been nominated for solo roots and traditional album of the year.

We Have Made A Spark follows Cousins’ two multi-award-winning albums, The Send Off (2009) and If You Were For Me (2006).

Cousins has won several awards so far in her musical career, including the 2012 Canadian Folk Music Award for contemporary singer of the year and several East Coast Music Awards, Music P.E.I. Awards and Nova Scotia Music Awards.

Cousins lives in Halifax, N.S.
