An exhibit of Tom Connor’s sculptures, entitled Sculptor’s Grasp, will be at the Guild in

Charlottetown from Oct. 2-21.

The show will include over 20 sculptures of various sizes. Stone types include granite, limestone, Wallace stone, marble, soapstone, and unidentified fieldstones, and one piece in wood.

Some figures are representational, of humans and animals, while others are conceptual, even whimsical. The show represents over 20 years of work, and may give some insight into how a sculpture comes into being.

There will be an opening reception on Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 7-9 p.m.

Connor's works are marvellous. Seeing them collected will be a rare opportunity for lovers of sculpture.
