Reference the letters in the paper from both Bruce Garrity and Sibyl Cutcliffe (Oct. 21 and Oct. 24).

But in addition to their comments, when the traffic crosses Mount Edward Road at the lights from the mall, a great deal of the time the cars race up both Montgomery and Birch Hill Drive trying to get to the intersection of Maple Avenue first. And who has the right of way - those coming out of a private road (behind the mall) or a public road (Mongomery)?

Extending Spencer Road through to Mount Edward makes a lot of sense. We have a number of small children living on Birch Hill and Montgomery as well as school bus stops to pick up and drop off the children.

A lot of the traffic and bigger trucks use these streets to cut across to Brackley Point Road. The time is now to extend Spencer Road.
