Here are some compliments and criticisms for City Hall:

Well done: The new flower plantings in the street medians and on city corners look terrific. Please keep them tidy.

Well done: The new police effort to ticket speeders is way overdue - keep it up and even increase the ticketing as we are a city of dangerous speeders.

Well done: The new flower plantings in the street medians and on city corners look terrific. Please keep them tidy.

Well done: The new police effort to ticket speeders is way overdue - keep it up and even increase the ticketing as we are a city of dangerous speeders.

Not well done: On the helmet issue, the deputy police chief said the police take ownership in not enforcing helmet laws, but now they will pass out free ice cream coupons to helmet wearers. Hmm, that happened six years ago. Think someone should punish the police for not doing their necessary job on this issue. Maybe the deputy and the chief should be forced to take the 'Noggin Knowledge' safety course.

Not well done: The downtown police office is smoke and mirrors. We simply need more police presence and a summer office is just public relations. It's money misspent. The police chair said he would not or could not tell the public the cost of the temporary office. Hey, it's our money - tell us.

Not well done: Photo radar - where is it? Do we have it? Is it working?

Not well done: City communication officer, a position to spin the city news. Hmm, almost $50,000 a year when we have tens of millions in debt. Tell the directors to draft press releases and the city councillors (councillors get $24,000 a year or so) they can write their own short speeches and not pay for someone to do so.

Not well done: The police chief should be the spokesperson for his department, not the deputy or others.

Well done: The city appears cleaner lately. There seems to be less litter around.

Charlottetown
