Teams entered in the P.E.I. junior curling championships:
Women
Amanda MacLean, Kassinda Bulger, Emily Gray, Aleya Quilty and coaches Glen MacLean and Shelley Gray from the host Maple Leaf Curling Club.
The MacLean foursome recently won the right to represent P.E.I. in the 2011 Canada Games in Halifax. They were the 2009 15-and-under champions and runners-up in 2008.
Sarah Fullerton, Michelle McQuaid, Sara MacRae, Whitney Young and coach Brenda MacMillan, Cornwall Curling Club.
They comprise three-quarters of the 2007 P.E.I. Canada Games team, and won the provincial 17-and-under championships three out of the last four years.
Anita Casey, Abby Burgess, Hillary Thompson, Jessica van Ouwerkerk, coach Jeff Wilson, Charlottetown Curling Club.
Casey won the 2007 girls 15-and-under championship and was runner-up to Erin Carmody in last year's 20-and-under championship. van Ouwerkerk, who played on Carmody's three consecutive provincial championship teams, was on Casey's 2009 17-and-under runner-up rink. Thompson was on Sarah Fullerton's 2007 P.E.I. Canada Games team.
Tiffany Sweet, Chantal Clements, Kathleen O'Meara, Laura O'Meara and coaches Ralph and Clair Sweet, Maple Leaf Curling Club.
Sweet, Clements and Kathleen O'Meara were members of the 2008 provincial 15-and-under championship team.
Sarah Clow, Brielle Quilty, Christina Hennessey, Monica LeBlanc and coach Angela Hodgson, Cornwall Curling Club.
Clow and Quilty have welcomed two members of the former Lindsay Hughes foursome to their team. They were last year's P.E.I. women's representatives at the CIS/CCA university championships.
Tricia Sanderson, Amanda Holm, Krystal Petersen, Victoria Evans and coach Pat Quilty, Cornwall Curling Club.
Coach Quilty has daughters playing on two opposing teams in the triple knockout championship. Sanderson and Holm have been together a while. Evans was a member of the former Lindsay Hughes team.
Men
Brett Gallant, Adam Casey, Anson Carmody, Alex MacFadyen and coaches Kathie Gallant and Peter Gallant, Charlottetown Curling Club.
All four team members are looking to make a fifth consecutive trip to the national junior championships. MacFadyen's fourth trip was with Team Nova Scotia. His other trips were as a member of the Gallant rink. The other original team members, Gallant, Casey and Carmody, along with Jamie Danbrook, went on to win a national junior championship and a world silver medal last year. Gallant was also junior championship skip in 2004.
Sam Ramsay, Justin Richard, Eric Pidgeon, Corey Miller and coach Peter Pidgeon, Charlottetown/Silver Fox.
Ramsay was runner-up to Gallant at last year's 20-and-under. He was also runner-up last year in the 17-and-under provincial championship after winning the title the previous two years, and the 15-and-under championship in 2005.
Parker Clements, Mitch Rowley, Brandon Clements, Mark Cousins and coaches Keith Rowley and Reggie Clements, host Maple Leaf Curling Club.
This team has been intact perhaps the longest of any of the teams in the 2010 championships. They have a 2007 boys' 15-and-under title to their credit.
Matthew MacLean, Marshall Smallman, Kevin Gallant, Alan MacLean and coaches Glen MacLean and Shannon Smallman, Maple Leaf Curling Club.
Team MacLean won the 2008 and 2009 provincial 15-and-under championships and were in the hunt for the P.E.I. Canada Games team title.
Spencer Pitre, Billie Lewis, Connor MacPhee, Sean Noonan and coach Jean Sinclair, Charlottetown.
Pitre and Lewis were one half of the 2008 Pepsi Juniors' 2008 provincial runner-up team, and the 2007 and 2008 provincial 17-and-under runner-up teams.
Shawn Pitre, Daniel McCarthy, Jeff Duggan, Colton Griffin and coach Roger Gavin, Western Community Curling Club.
Pitre and McCarthy are the other half of the original Spencer Pitre team, and were on Ramsay's 17-and-under runner-up team last year. Griffin and Duggan are one half of Colton Griffin's former team.
Cody Dixon, Adam Nabuurs, Bennett Crane, Joey Collier and coach Brent MacDonald, Montague Curling Club.
Dixon and Collier teamed up for the 2009 provincial 17-and-under championship while Collier and Nabuurs were teammates for the 17-and-under championship in 2008.
