First timers: What you should know about buying a home
Taking the leap to buy your first home can be intimidating. The right guidance can make all the difference.
Any real estate professional will tell you that the benefits to home ownership are vast.
Pride of ownership is the number one reason people choose to invest in a home. It means you can paint the walls any colour, tear them down if you desire, or even turn up the volume on your home entertainment system.
Although real estate moves in cycles, sometimes up, sometimes down, over the years, real estate has consistently appreciated. Home ownership is a great way to shelter tax and our tax rates favour homeowners.
Buying your first home can be one of the biggest decisions of your life, next to getting married, so if you have any questions and would like to speak with a local expert, call Coldwell Banker realtor Scott Herring at (902) 393-9556, who can also help you with your wedding plans as he is an ordained minister at Murray Harbour Baptist Church as well. Scott can also be reached at email@example.com or check out his website: www.confederationhousespei.com.

Selling your home: How can you set the stage?
Staging your home for sale is crucial in today's real estate market. Over 95 per cent of buyers looking for a home today will see it on the internet first. What they see and how it is presented to them will determine whether or not they decide to view it in person.
There are a lot of homes for sale and they are your competition. When you have attracted a potential buyer to view your home, it needs to be ready. They will be looking at several homes, you want your home to standout and be remembered. The key here is to create a pleasant scent throughout the house, remove clutter, and neutralize space.
Let's make an effort to remove or reduce the amount of personal belongings you have in each room. Potential homebuyers need to picture themselves living in your home. Funky decorating may be fun, but doesn't sell homes. Ornaments and knick-knacks are seen as clutter. And while family photos are nice, they distract potential buyers, and make it difficult for them to take ownership in their minds. They have to envision their life in the house to move forward. Remember your goal is to sell the house and find your new home, so create neutral space and let's get it sold!

Sanctuary Yoga and Massage
I can't do yoga... Can I?
Yoga isn't about being flexible, having the perfect body type or looking cute in the latest fashions. It's about connecting; it's about discovering who you are. It just so happens that you can stretch, strengthen and tone your entire body while you are making that discovery.
In our fast paced society, there is something very liberating about giving yourself permission to take time out of your day, just for you, and think about nothing other than your breath and making the body feel good.
If you're still looking for a reason to do it, try these:
• There's a class to fit every need and experience level; even if there's nothing offered in your area, DVDs and online classes will work.
• Yoga practioners are non-judgmental and supportive; plus, they're focused on their own journey so they aren't watching to see if you're a little tentative or wobbly on yours.
• Unlike some other exercise programs, everyone can do yoga. A good instructor will know how to modify every pose to suit your level. You just need the right instructor, teaching you at an appropriate level to begin your journey.
Brenda Sanders teaches a truly beginner yoga program at Sanctuary Yoga and Massage. If you would like to learn more about yoga, and begin your yoga journey contact Brenda at 902-629-5800, email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit online at http://sanctuaryyogaandmassage.com.
Forever Healthy Allergy Elimination Centre
"The treatments helped level my body from its "roller coaster of hormones" and we focused on a fertility protocol to help boost out chances of conceiving... Needless to day, after completing the fertility protocol, we had success and we welcomed our baby boy in December 2013! I'm so glad I had that initial conversation that led me to Forever Healthy." - Krissie Adams
How do you know you have an allergy and can you get rid of them?
Here's a whole new definition of allergies: anything that puts a blockage on an energy channel. Allergies aren't always experienced in the typical way as most people think they are. You could be suffering from allergies and not have itchy, watery eyes or sneezing and runny nose.
Other major symptoms of allergies are insomnia, depression and most anything hormonal, such as PMS, dysmenorrhea and hot flashes. Some of the symptoms that you are experiencing could very well be related to hidden allergies in your body.
Our bodies have 12 main energy channels, called meridians, with each one flowing through major organs and glands in our body. When you're sensitive to an item you have blockages on one or more of these meridians. Using energy vials and stimulating acupuncture points on your back can remove these blockages.
Forever Healthy is primarily an allergy elimination centre and it's our mission to improve overall health and wellbeing by eliminating underlying allergies so you can live a well-balanced lifestyle. It's our goal to assist you on your journey to becoming forever healthy. Throughout all our franchises, treatments are done in the same high quality manner with the highest professionalism and care. All are staffed by friendly, attentive and efficient people. Marriage is not a love affair, it's an ordeal. It is a religious exercise, a sacrament the grace of participating in another life. If you go into marriage with a program, you will find that it won't work. Successful marriage is leading innovative lives together, being open, non-programmed. It's a free fall: how you handle each new thing as it comes along. As a drop of oil on the sea, you must float, using intellect and compassion to ride the waves. Joseph Campbell

Blair Hall Upholstery and Refinishing
RE-UPHOLSTER TO GIVE YOUR FURNITURE A NEW LEASE ON LIFE!
Too many times people discard their old furniture thinking that a new piece will last as long as their old furniture. Before you decide to either replace or refinish, ask yourself why you would like to keep it and the value it has to you.
You might be surprised by what can actually be done with your existing furniture. Jim Culbert graduated as a Journeyman Apprentice in Upholstery in the early 1970's after a 4 year coarse in Barrie Ontario. He opened his own business shortly after that and has been serving clients both in Ontario and PEI since then. He taught upholstery for seven years in Ontario and has a vast knowledge on how a piece of furniture should be restored.
There is no need to discard your heirloom piece. If a piece of furniture has been around for 100 years and is restored properly with good fabric it will service you for another 100 years. Jim will certainly tell you if it is not worth the time or expense to fix a piece of furniture that is of no value.
Antique furniture is his passion and he has a show room of many antique pieces to show his work.

My Island Handyman
What does a handyman do? Can you improve the value of my home?
My Island Handyman is an insured business capable of completing most jobs. Even if the job requires a specific red seal tradesperson, we're well connected and work closely with many. We will look at and price any job, big or small. We give free estimates and quotes.
The best way to see how much we can increase the value of your home is to speak with a licensed real estate salesperson about your home's "as is" value versus its "move in ready/updated home" value. When you find out the potential value from comparable sales in your neighbourhood, you can understand the value upgrades or renovations can bring.
Basement renovations, bathroom renovations, window and door installation, trim work, flooring, plumbing and electrical, basement waterproofing, drywall repair and fine carpentry are just some of the more common jobs we deliver.
We work as hard as possible to not waste anyone's time. Reputation is everything to us, so is integrity. We want to leave every customer smiling with the result of our work. We will complete small jobs that other businesses may not have time for.
For more information, please contact Chad Gibbons at 902-394-4513, email email@example.com, on Facebook at www.facebook.com/myislandhandyman.
