  • Details : Memory Lane Concert Series Welcomes Elliot Wight's Orchestra The Memory Lane Concert Series will be returning on Tuesday April 29th with another one of PEI's musical greats Elliot Wight & his orchestra composed of Urban MacAdam and Judy Lowe. For over 6 decades Elliot Wight has been delivering a lively east cost style of fiddling, performing across PEI this well known fiddler and his band have been igniting dance floors and dance halls for over half a century. Wight and band mates Judy Lowe on keyboard and Urban MacAdam on guitar, played regular dances at the North River Fire Hall for many years to sell out crowds. This group will be united once again on Tuesday April 29th at the Murchison Centre as the 4th installment of the highly popular Memory Lane Concert series returns. If you enjoy an evening of great fiddling as well as some old Country favorites. The event is hosted by Island band Unity with lead singers Kendall Docherty & Gerry Hickey belting out some old favorites as well as back up musicians Blaine Murphy on Guitar, Pat King on Keyboard and Saxophone, John McGarry on Bass and Brian Knox and Blair Zinck on percussion. Showtime is a 7:30 with doors opening at 6:30. Admission is at the door.There will be a canteen service and 50/50 draw with proceeds going towards Canadian Mental Health. Access to Healthcare for People with Disabilities

  • Details : This workshop, organized by Cooper Institute and the PEI Association for Community Living, will be a chance to look at some of the barriers that people with disabilities face in getting access to healthcare, how to eliminate or get around some of those barriers and how to advocate for yourself to get better access to healthcare.
