  • Details : Second Show Announced for Memory Lane Concert Series The second installment of the Memory Lane Concert Series will take place on Wednesday March 12th at the Murchison Centre on St. Pius the Tenth Avenue in Parkdale. Hosted by Island band Unity which features Kendall Docherty and Gerry Hickey on lead vocals as well as Blaine Murphy on lead and Rythm Guitar, Pat King on Sax and Keyboard, John MacGarry on Bass guitar, and Brian Knox and Blair Zinck on drums. Joining Unity on stage will be special guests the Grand Daddies of Rock N Roll, which is a band formed by venerable musicians who have been performingon PEI since the late 1950's. Members of the Grand Daddies o Rock N Roll include Niall MacKay on drums, Doug MacEwen on keyboard and Knucker Richards on Saxophone who were members of PEI's beloved rock n roll band "The Tremtones" as well as the talented guitar picking Jimi Platts a man who has performed all over Canada and the US with many chart topping bands, and last but not least Heartz Godkin on Bass a man noted as being one of the finest bass players on PEI. Unity and the Grand Daddies will get the show on the road at 7:30pm with doors opening at 6:30pm. Tickets will be on sale for this event at One on One Video Service at 101 Longworth Ave and National Music at 61 Capital Drive. General Admission is $10.00 per person . There will be a 50/50 draw and canteen serivce provided with proceeds going towards the Canadian Mental Health Association.
