HALIFAX - Halifax police say a 31-year-old man has been charged after another man was stabbed numerous times in the torso in the city's north end.
Police say the man is facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon after the stabbing on Jarvis Lane early Saturday.
He was remanded to a correctional facility and is expected to appear in court Monday.
The 19-year-old victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say this was not a random incident, as the two men were known to each other.
