Ryan MacDonald of Charlottetown has been named Junior Achievement of P.E.I.'s Volunteer of the Year for 2008-2009.
MacDonald has been a volunteer with Junior Achievement of P.E.I. for four years. He has been involved in many aspects of JAPEI including chaperone, facilitator and Company Program adviser.
"MacDonald excels in his role as company program advisor as he approaches the Company Program the same way he approaches his job as sales and revenue manager at the Delta Prince Edward, with tremendous enthusiasm, a professional attitude and hands-on, dedicated manner," said Michelle Burge, chair of the board of directors for JAPEI.
MacDonald resides in Charlottetown and when he isn't volunteering with JAPEI he enjoys playing softball and living up to his "guru of social media" nickname.
"We applaud Ryan MacDonald for contributing his time, talent and passion to our Island youth and Junior Achievement," said Burge.
