The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is launching a new networking program for young professionals and business leaders called Business Under Forty.
The first event is planned today from 4-6 p.m. at Globe World Flavours.
"One of the issues our members are concerned about is the looming labour shortage," says Sean Casey, president of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce.
"Retaining our young, brightest and best business professionals here in P.E.I. is critically important to the future of our business community."
A volunteer committee chaired by Heidi
Lawlor, manager of small business for Scotiabank, will plan and organize a series of Business
Under Forty events throughout the year to
provide young business professionals with opportunities to connect and build their own network of peers.
For more information on Business Under Forty, contact the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce at (902) 628-2000, email chamber@charlottetownchamber.com or visit www.charlottetownchamber.com.
