Nine students — two teams of four students and one team competing as a pair — have participated in four competitions this academic year, placing first and second in one regional competition, second place in an international competition and gaining entry into the final round of two international competitions.

The teams are busy preparing for competitions, including the Inter-Collegiate Business Competition later this month and the John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition in February.

"On behalf of the province of Prince Edward Island, I'd like to extend congratulations to UPEI's case competition teams that saw some incredible results this past semester," said Workforce and Advanced Learning Minister Richard Brown, adding the students competed in a variety of competitions across Canada, and their hard work should be commended.

Hearing about success like this for Island students is encouraging, said Brown, and is just one example of the impressive work being done by students in Prince Edward Island.

"It is my hope that Island employers take notice and consider hiring students like our case competition participants, through various programs, such as the graduate mentorship program."
