Dairy Queen is celebrating its long-standing support for the Children’s Miracle Network with help from the Maritime community during Miracle Treat Day Thursday, Aug. 14.
A blizzard has been forecasted for Thursday, and it promises to be a sweet one.
On Thursday, Aug. 14, Dairy Queen restaurants across the Maritimes will be serving Blizzard treats for the 12th annual Miracle Treat Day in support of Children’s Miracle Network. All proceeds from every Blizzard sold that day will be donated to the IWK Health Centre.
The IWK is one of 14 children’s hospitals across Canada supported by Children’s Miracle Network, which raises funds to help save and improve the lives of children treated at member hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. Dairy Queen Canada’s fundraising goal for this year is $3.2 million.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the partnership between Dairy Queen and Children’s Miracle Network. Since the partnership began in 1984, Dairy Queen has become a top contributor to Children’s Miracle Network with $100 million raised to-date in support of sick and injured children across North America.
More than $220,000 was raised in the Maritimes last year in support of the IWK. For more information about Miracle Treat Day, visit MiracleTreatDay.ca.
