Atlantic Beef Products Inc., the only federally inspected beef processing plant in the Atlantic, has recently been awarded an ”A” grade on its 2014 BRC audit.

An Atlantic Beef Products Inc. news release says it is a standard achieved by very few.

The plant is located in Albany.

British Retail Consortium Global Standards is a leading safety and quality certification program, used by over 21,000 certificated suppliers in 90 countries, with certification issued through a worldwide network of accredited certification bodies.

The standards guarantee the standardization of quality, safety and operational criteria and ensure that manufacturers fulfil their legal obligations and provide protection for the end consumer, says a news release.

BRC Global Standards are now often a fundamental requirement of leading retailers.

“This latest audit is an improvement over last year’s “B” grade which demonstrates the plant’s commitment to providing its customers with the highest quality and safest beef products available. ABP has nearly doubled its output in the last two years going from processing 225 head per week to close to 400 per week. Accordingly, it has increased its production staff from 50 to 90 employees,” the company says in the news release.

Read my comment Sorry and try and follow. I didn't say i bought them I said they are for sale at the Summerside Superstore. These are not big steaks, smaller then most and range from 44 to 55 dollars each. The sign says $59.99 per pound. Go see for yourself. MY comment was to find out if they came from the beef plant in Borden.

This just in, food costs money. I don't know where you are seeing a steak for 45-55 dollars. Perhaps it's time to go on a diet if you are eating steaks that big.
