MONTAGUE — Montague-based P.E.I. Berries Ltd. was represented at the recent Natural Products Expo East in Baltimore, MD.
One of 1,200 exhibitors of natural products, P.E.I. Berries Ltd. used the venue to launch its Pure Blueberries fruit puree.
With more than 22,000 attendees from across the world, including buyers, brokers, distributors, exporters and brokers, P.E.I. Berries Ltd. representatives made connections and received positive feedback about Pure Blueberries fruit puree.
A news release says while the company continues to bring their product to international markets, the makers of Pure Blueberries fruit puree will continue to keep costs low here on Prince Edward Island.
Field project manager Bradford Rooney says their Pure Blueberries product contains nothing but whole, wild blueberries.
“We add nothing, no water, sugar, flavours, colours, or preservatives. Wild blueberries don’t need anything added to them to make them delicious,” he said.
P.E.I. Berries Ltd. office manager Colleen Stevenson says people love that their product is healthy and easy to eat.
“It’s a great way to get some antioxidants into your kids,” she said.
Pure Blueberries is available in P.E.I. at The Root Cellar, Queen Street Coop, Walker Drive Coop, Parkdale Pharmacy, and Riverside Country Market in Charlottetown; Turning Point in Montague, the Evergreen Cafe and Souris by the Sea (seasonal) in Souris; and the Stratford Pharmacy in Stratford.
