Maritime Bus is adding a new stop to its already busy schedule.
Buses began rolling to the Bathurst-Campbellton area during daily passenger and parcel delivery service this week.
Mike Cassidy, president of Maritime Bus, said in December his company was more than willing to look at Northeastern New Brunswick but he wanted time to get the Maritime Bus network started.
“The north needs a dependable seven-days-a-week passenger and parcel delivery service with minimal time layovers at the Moncton transfer terminal,” Cassidy said.
“We have eliminated the four- to five-hour layover in Moncton for the Miramichi, Bathurst and Campbellton run.”
The buses will depart at 7 a.m. from Campbellton, making a stop at 8:30 a.m. in Bathurst before arriving in Moncton at 11:30 a.m.
It will leave from the Moncton terminal at 1:55 p.m., return to Bathurst at 5:10 p.m. and Campbellton at 6:40 p.m.
