Information technology services company CGI Group Inc., with offices in P.E.I., has been selected as part of a contract worth up to US$7 billion to deliver software and systems engineering to the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command.

CGI (TSX:GIB.A) didn’t release details of its share of the five-year contract.

The company said Tuesday it will provide software engineering and business and information technology support services.

The contract is with the company’s U.S. subsidiary, CGI Federal Inc., which focuses on U.S. defence, civilian and intelligence work.
