Eastlink To Go most advanced technology in North America

Eastlink digital TV customers on the go now have the ability to accessTV content on their computers, tablets and smartphones, anytime and at no extra cost.

It’s called Eastlink To Go.

Lee Bragg, Eastlink CEO, says in today’s video landscape, the amount of video content their customers watch continues to increase and so do the ways in which they want to view that content.

“Eastlink To Go allows us to deliver movies and TV shows OnDemand, as well as live content, including local sports coverage across all devices with one consistent user experience,” Bragg said, following the launch of Eastlink To Go earlier this week.

Powered by Cisco Videoscape, Eastlink To Go is a technology platform that allows Eastlink digital customers to enjoy their TV service, in more places and on more screens than ever before.

“Eastlink To Go offers a versatile and highly convenient TV experience, allowing users to take their TV service with them for anywhere, anytime access,” says Mark Kummer, vice president, service provider, Cisco Canada.

“It’s a great example of Eastlink using innovative technology to stay competitive by offering its customers new and exciting services to meet their growing demands.”

Cisco says the technology Eastlink is using to deliver Eastlink To Go is the most advanced in North America.

In the days ahead, Eastlink says its customers can expect content additions that include Treehouse, YTV, OWN and the Galaxie Music Channels.

In addition, Eastlink is also still working on its cellular service. It is expected to be launched in 2013.

Most Advanced technology? I don't think so. TELUS and Shaw have had this service available out west for over a year now. Eastlink is trying to build a network similar to TELUS' Optik TV service in BC and AB. Too bad east coast residents don't know any different..

Former Islander, you ain't got a clue! Eastlink is not building anything like Telus Optik TV. EASTLINK = 150 HD channels, 79 digital channels, 100meg, 80meg, 40meg, 20meg internet, and phone with 7 features included in a bundle, others available at additional cost. Telus, Shaw, Aliant, not even close in the TV channels, Telus not even close in internet speed, and Shaw advertises but doesnt supply.
