GAME SCHEDULE at

On the 17th of November 2009 the Hockey Canada with the Canadian National Sledge Hockey team will suit up against USA, Norway and Japan here in Charlottetown for the second year in a row! The difference this year is this is the last meeting of these team prior to the 2010 Paralympic Games. Teams will be operating at their peak performance in preparation for the games. Fans will be treated, once again, to big hits, to 100 mph shots and a gritty game from This Nationally selected team at the CARI complex.

Last years event also created a Legacy fund to create and support the creation of a Sledge Hockey program right here on PEI for both persons with disabilities and persons without to enjoy also. Any profit from this years event will be put towards the same effort. You are not only getting a great deal on some exciting hockey but you monies will go towards a great program with local impact.

I am offering all of you a chance to purchase the event ticket packages. There are 8 games in total. Team Canada will be playing 4 Games, gold medal game included. Last year's gold medal game was sold out. The package price for all 8 games is $45 so $5.65 per game. Even if you only see the Canadian games the cost to see this fast paced game is $11.25. This less than both QMJHL and MJHL team's ticket prices. Ticket price at the door is $8.00 per game. Hockey Canada will be set up to sell memorabilia at the event site.

If you wish to purchase a package, please contact myself. I look forward to hearing from you soon! Thank you

Santa Claus coming to capital Nov. 28 The Guardian

The 11th annual Charlottetown Christmas Parade is taking place on Saturday, Nov. 28, at 5 p.m. and applications are now available at City Hall or by calling 629-4117.

The night-time parade is an event looked forward to by all ages and attracts entries from across the province. There is no entry fee to participate. This parade takes place at dusk and all entries are asked to have music and lights for visual effects and safety reasons. Parade chairman Peter McCloskey stated that the committee is in the planning stages for this years event which leaves UPEI and proceeds down University Avenue. We encourage participants to register early, said McCloskey. The committee is grateful to the community for its corporate support in making this parade a success each year. This Charlottetown Christmas Parade kicks off the Christmas season in Charlottetown with Santa Claus making a guest appearance along with the many service groups from across the Island. The Food Bank will be collecting donations along the parade route.

November has a great set of events for Islanders and Visitors alike.
