Suffer the little children to come unto me. Canada and NATO at Kandahar Hospital

With the increased amounts of cowardly ied's being placed around Kanadahar. The civilian injuries are increasing especially in children. The children who are able to be transported to Kanadahar Military Hospital have a greater chance of recovery than the children in far outlying areas.

May the hand of God guide them to this wonderful medical facility in a country ravaged by war for centuries.

Canadian-led Kandahar hospital seeing more children, IEDs THE CANADIAN PRESS

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan - The Role 3 hospital at Kandahar Airfield is seeing an increase in the number of soldiers and civilians injured by improvised explosive devices.

Col. Danielle Savard, the Canadian in charge of the hospital, says most patients at the facility are now civilians from the Kandahar area. She says about 70 per cent of those brought in for treatment were the victims of attacks by IEDs.

Savard says that is compared to about a 45 per cent average earlier in the tour.

She adds there is also a marked increase in the number of children brought in to receive care - many of them injured while playing outside.

Savard, who along with her staff will be going home in a few weeks, said it has been a difficult tour and it's often difficult to keep an emotional distance from the patients they take care of.

Gov. Gen. Michalle Jean visits staff and patients at the Role 3 Hospital at Kandahar Airfield on Sept. 9. The director of ther hospital said improvised explosive devices are behind many of the injuries the hospital treats.

Canadian and NATO allies continue their life saving work 24/7. May the Lord guide them in their saving of lives. Well done all medical teams.

Showing support with Medical Services is only one of the missions carried out in Afghanistan..

Robby, you share some very nice stories of Canadians. The combined NATO medical teams certainly have a lot to be proud of. Once again Canada and canadians are helping people far away from home. Be it Duck Lake NL or Yellowknife Canadians of all areas of our great country are doing their bit.
Thank you The Motto Ubique covers it all.
