" ELECTION DAY" apathy in Canada FEAR In Afghanistan

Canadians across the width and breadth of our great country. Have become Apathetic due to too many elections over the past few years. Both Federally and Provincially. At least here at home if you wish to express your vote their are no threats nor suicide bombers. Meanwhile in Afghanistan citizens are threatened with death to them selves or family members. Two schools have been bombed in the past two days, that were to be used as polling stations. In listening to Canada's Brig.General Eric Tremblay of ISAF HQ. He said that in the past two weeks they were averaging 32 attacks a day by the taliban (Cowards) my word not the Generals. This has increased to 45 attacks per day over the past few days. He said statistacally there will be 6500 polling stations and at an attack rate of 45 per day, the taliban will only be able to attck less than 1% of all polls. This is an accepted number militarily and they are on the Highest of Alerts.

The young are being used as labour to install and deliver Voting Boxes to out lying areas.

Meanwhile Afghanistan is a country on edge. Posters, text messages and varous forms of intimidation are rife. People have been warned not to Vote, not to allow their home to be used as a polling station. The BBC uncovered sales of Voting cards and apparently their has been a larger number of female registrants which is unexpected. So as you read this with coffee in hand at home or work, Think of our troops trying to protect these voters. With the time change, voting will begin just after our suppertime today.

May this election be as honest as can be and let the citizens move on with true democracy. Fraudulent voting is dangerous.

If you were guarding a polling area , what would you think of the man on the motorcycle?

This is a daily issue for NATO troops is he or isn't he a suicide bomber.

How can any man or woman allow their daughter to have a photo taken like this. I pray that this child is not targetted by these cowards of the taliban. Insha allah.

Please think of our troops and their families Canada's

We have been there since 2002.Nothing has change in some places.Look what they have to do to get out the ballot boxs out. They put these KIDS in this job?
They just slipped thru the law that a males now has greater power over his wife or wives. They pass it then let everybody know about it a couple months later all for a few extra votes.
Was over there during the first election. This one is no different then that one.The news is reporting that ISAF will remain in the rear for this election. Is this what my brothers in arms are there for to standby and do nothing.
This was a failed mission to start with and will be hard to pull out in 2011.Why have the Fed Gov not been talking about the Afgan problems. It must be voting time in Canada.

Support the troops the Gov is not willing too!
