The NATO, NORAD Veterans association are seeking assistance with the issuing of a Voluntary Service Medal. I personally feel that as a Canadian Veteran who joined Voluntarily as all Canadians have done for generations, that this is a non essential medal. However as Canadians we all have our own opinion so here goes:
L'OTAN, l'association de Vtrans de NORAD cherche l'assistance avec le fait de publier d'une Mdaille de Service Volontaire. J'estime personnellement que comme un Vtran canadien qui a adhr Volontairement comme tous les Canadiens a fait pour les gnrations, que c'est un non la mdaille essentielle. Hi NATO NORAD Veterans Have received this request for the petition for a Volunteer medal. We also have been petitioning the Governor General for such a medal to be struck so I as your President would like you to sign this pertition and add the 884 signatures There is confusion at the Governor Generals office saying that is the reason we receive the CD which in our opinion is incorrect. The many veterans that only served 11 1/2 years will not receive a CD but volunteered to serve and have done so either with UN posting or NATO posting and many have lost their lives like the 570 in Germany and France and now the 127 in Afghanistan Hope you will help out Dave Palmer Thom Joordens, President Pacem et Libertas
