As the flag draped casket of Trooper Karine Blais is returned to Canada and to her family. I send her family my deepest condolences, her life is not wasted, she was a proud serving member of the Canadian Army. May God Bless and receive Trooper Blais into his arms.
These photos show the proximity of Children while our troops are patrolling. The cowardly taliban do not hesitate to fire or set ied's off near children.
As the troops continue patrolling and assisiting the Afghan people to have freedom and democracy. Perhaps these pictures will show you why so many soldiers suffer from PTSD. It is not the nature of NATO troops to fight near children.
