The sadness of Soldiers families

As the three soldiers are being repatriated to Canada and ultimately to their families. I cannot but help thinking of the wives and partners of service members. The wives and husbands have great stress in their lives while their partner is away on dangerous duties.

Mrs Mishelle Brown was speaking on the CBC today about her husband WO Dennis Brown and their four children. She was being very strong in the face of cameras and the media.

Mishelle Brown, widow of slain Warrant Officer Dennis Raymond Brown, holds a news conference in St. Catharines, Ont.,

These men and women who are the bulk of the Invisible Army, must be the strength in the marriage. They are left at home caring for the children and the myriad of daily problems. Add to this the worry about their partner's safety and you need a strong will and even stronger decorum. I salute the men and women who are married to a soldier, sailor or airman. Thankyou one and all.

The three men being repatriated at the moment. Will travel down Ontarios Highway of Heroes in the next few days.

Wo D.Brown, Cpl C.O'Quinn, Cpl D.Fortin

They will be remembered by Canada.

Let us not forget the families.

I am a current serving member who is once again preparing to deploy. Truer words were never written about the STRENGTH that those we love have when we deploy. It is through their STRENGTH that enables us to carry on with the mission knowing that they are keeping the home fires burning... Thanks for putting those ind words forward to reconginze them all.
