Military Blog Site - with Robby McRobb Blog

A worrying time for the Invisible Army......God Bless them one and all.

One of the unfortunate things with the Information Highway and the Speed of news around the globe is, that some news stories increase the worry and stress of family members at home. The most pressing issue is the reports of the Jail Break, the taliban taking over many villages with imminent attacks threatened against NATO and Specifically our Brave Canadians. At times like these the Military Family Services Centres across Canada offer,a meeting place for all families involved. In Charlottetown, Charlene McInnis and her team of Volunteers insure that families are looked after. She provides counselling, parcel services and the myriad of services that are required as a caring professional centre. There is a quiet room for reflection, usually coffee is always on. Charlene is always available even in extraordinary hours. She listens to each and every person who crosses her threshhold. Some of her volunteers have had family members serve in Afghanistan and indeed pay the ultimate price.

So as these trying times are upon us and more pointedly upon the families and loved ones of our troops. Be kind assist anyone you know who has a family member or loved one in Afghanistan. If you are the praying type then please say a prayer for the inviisible army and for their loved ones in tactical areas.

This young man and his hound are praying that their daddy returns home safely. So please in your home, Synagogue, Church, Chapel or Mosque think of our Soldiers and their families.

Robby...thank you for remembering our Invisible Army...they are, indeed, going through a very trying time right now...more so than usual...The MFRCs nationwide are responsible for assisting our Military Families at every level and we gladly take on these responsibilities as part of our continuing commitment to them...a kind word, a phone call, a hug...some things are small but mighty...and they are within everyone's power to give to those who may need them...right now and for some time to come our CF families will be needing the caring and support of their fellow citizens...and I know that as Islanders, we will be there for our local CF members and their families...
