Fifth Estate CBC Well Done ! ! ! ! Jack Layton Get with the TROOPS ! ! ! ! !

The wonderful presentation of the Kandahar Hospital on the Fifth Estate last evening. Deserves an award for truthful honest documentary making. This film showed the daily grind in Kandahar Doctors both civilian and military, operate with medics, nurses and stretcher bearers. To save lives, limbs and the initial mental health of comrades who have lost another in war. I sincerely hope that all members of the Government and opposition took in this documentary. These medical staff are the angels of mercy and should be recognised as such. I felt that this was a powerful show of ( Surgically Edited ) medical trials and tribulations. Well done CBC and I hope they show this again soon for those who missed it. God Bless them one and all.

As for the supreme court ruling on the handling of enemy combatants: A federal judge has ruled the Charter of Rights and Freedoms does not apply to Afghan prisoners captured by Canadian troops. Then Jack Layton in his aggressive non Canadian manner: NDP Leader Jack Layton fired back, accusing the government and Harper himself of hindering the Military Police Complaints Commission's investigation into a complaint that transfers of Afghan detainees to Afghan security forces are in violation of international and Canadian law. The highest court in our Land has ruled that Afghan Combatants who are trying to KILL Canadians are not covered by The Canadian Charter of Rights, Accept this Mr Layton and move on, First a question for you>What rights do the taliban and or insurgents give westerners they Kill, Kidnap and Behead. Wake up Mr Layton and get your band of Wackos (NDP) to support Canadians not undermine them.

Please support your troops, the PEI Military Families Services Charity Bingo will be held at HMCS Queen Charlotte on 29 March 2008. Tickets available by calling 902-892-8999 Please wear RED Tomorrow Friday in a visible show of support.

I knew a few of the staff that was profiled last night. The Surgeon who told the young Canadian he was going to amputate was a man I was in Walter Reed with. He is Top Notch. MWO Libby I was in Halifax with and is a great man and I recognized one more medic for a former posting. They are truely angels. it will be interesting how the Goble and Mail along with the NDP will twist this one.
