However MP Jim Karygiannis is quoted as stating.......You don't have to do a search-and-destroy, you can rebuild and reconstruct and if you're fired upon, you fire back, said Liberal MP Jim Karygiannis. This MP for Scarborough shows no sign of military service in his Parliamentary Bio. What he and his fellow Libs must understand that this statement about firing back only when fired upon, is the worst case scenario for soldiers in a war zone. If you wait till you are fired upon then the chances of increasing fatalities is greater.
This type of order will be good for the taliban no one else, to know that they have the advantage of first shot? I doubt there is a soldier serving or who has previously served who can comprehend such an order.
Mr Dion also says....Dion has rejected the government motion, calling for an end to combat operations by 2009, as scheduled. He said the Conservative motion opens the door to a never-ending mission, and that troops must be prepared to exit entirely by 2011.
Again you cannot advise the enemy of intentions to pull out!!! by a specific date. Mr Dion and his liberals should leave the operation and orders to the soldiers living and dying in Afghanistan. Their generals and officers down to the section commander's who have seen more action than libs ever have. Let Soldiers, Soldier on and support them %100.
