Return to Parliament.....Manley Report Big Question???

As our Honourable Minster of National Defence and his fellow Members of Parliament, return for the next session. The big question to many Canadians is the Official Government reaction to the infamous Manley report. Guesses and speculation are rife, will we extend, won't we extend?? Will the Government purchase much needed equipment immediately? The next few question periods will indeed be lively and interesting. Throughout all of this, I only pray that support for our troops currently in theatre does not diminish, but rather Grows to let them know we are thinking of them and their loved ones. As our 78th warrior was laid to rest in Quebec last week, we must not let their sacrifice be in vain. God Bless them one and all.

A note that the so called 2 i/c of Al Qaida has opened an information Question and answer Website. To him I say Open your eyes , read and heed your Koran. The killing of innocents is against all that Islam stands for. Be a man, preserve and protect your citizens, approach NATO with a dove of peace. Cease this warmongering that you say is in the name of Allah.

Robby...... yes in deed, the reopening of the house on the hill will be interesting to say the least. With Mister Dion and company considering bringing down the government puts the future of Canada's commitment to Afghanistan in a very questionable position. And then there was the recent government announcement that DND was going to have to foot the cost of Afghanistan without support from Treasury coffers. That in itself could answer the question of purchasing new equipment adequate for the safety of our troops.... sort of paints a grim picture for the procurement people. Now as far as this alleged Al Quaida person is concerned...... I sure hope he is really just a misguided nut looking for his 15 minutes of fame..... on the other hand if he is genuine then your plea for him to read and abide by the Koran will fall upon deaf ears...... fanatics use religion to promote their cause, being very selective to ensure that they only voice what suits them. All we can do is hope, pray and support our troops. Keep the faith. Bev
