RAMADAN

RAMADAN and Canadian Troops have been warned about a rise in suicide bombings. Why ? ? ? we must ask when the correct definition of RAMADAN is this.....................................

Ramadan (Arabic: ?????, Rama?an) is an Islamic religious observance that takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, when the Qur'an was revealed. The name Ramadan is taken from the name of this month; the word itself derived from an Arabic word for intense heat, scorched ground, and shortness of rations. It is considered the most venerated and blessed month of the Islamic year.

Now if the basics of Islamic worship state that RAMADAN should be a time of reflection and prayer, why then do the militants increase death and destruction they obviously do not follow the teachings of Muhammed. They are evil men with no thoughts of the well being of their own nor anyone else in this world. I would recommend the following web site to anyone interested in learning a bit about Islam.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramadan

Perhaps then we can understand the true beliefs of non militant Muslims and welcome them into a democratic society. For like the Christian Bible the Jewish Torah and Hinduisn,Buddhistism. They all teach love for all mankind. The Q'aran does not tell these cowards to attack men women and children in any way shape or form. Men like Bin Laden have rewritten the Koran to suit their needs.

So please if you have neighbours or friends that follow the muslim faith then Understand that to them RAMADAN is similar to our Christmas, or Yom Kippur etc.a time for reflection with regard to our friends, families and Global neighbours.

Please remeber the men and women in all areas of conflict and put them in your prayers or thoughts.
