Further to Media Coverage !!!

Another 3 Canadians killed in Afghanistan!!

A time line approximately 90 minutes ago this was reported as 3 NATO casualties in Southern Afghanistan, then 60 mins ago a female news reader says 3 NATO troops killed in Afghanistan this is in the area where Canadians are serving Then 15 Minutes ago CBC announced officially that three young Canadians have been killed. No names released yet.

I honestly and deeply feel that this news should have been totally repressed until such time as next of Kin are officially notified. The stresses that are upon the invisible army are tremendous, and worrying while waiting for a call just needlessly adds to these pressures.

I implore our Government and our Media to think of those at home who will get the tragic news of a loved one. Ban all publication till all parties are notified.

This makes me so angry!!! Pray for the men who were killed and think of their families and the sacrifice given.

I know what you mean Robbie. It is more of a case of their by-line and how much money out of covering the story first. How ironic this news comes on the heals of the big debate in the city of Toronto whether or not to remove the Support the Troops symbols on the emergency vehicles. I guess they will only support us when shovelling snow. It would almost make it worth while to mention to the egocentric Torontonians that small town Canada doesn't have to worry about the graduation of the recent Suicide Bombers. They might want to take some before pictures of Bay Street to remember it by.
