Rest in Peace Cpl Matthew McCully.

A terrible weekend in Afghanistan. Another Canadian Fatality. Cpl Matthew McCully a Sigs operator from Orangeville Ontario. Killed by an IED hidden on the dusty trail. He joins the 54 other Canadians in the advance party in heaven.

Our prayers and sympathies to his family and friends. This is a sad event at the start of operation Hoover. It affects all the soldiers serving in the theatre and off course the families ( Silent Majority ) sitting at home hearing this on the news. It increases their worry and concern for their family member or friend who is currently serving in this war ravaged country.

Canadian troops will carry on with the mission as they always do. One day they will defeat the Taliban and their mission will have been accomplished. The people of Afghanistan will then rebuild their shattered lives, with the assistance of Canada and other generous countries.

RIP Cpl.McCully.

I agree with all Robby said in the above article. My thoughts and prayers are with Cpl McCully's family and friends. I am grateful that Matthew served so willingly in the services. I applaud his courage and strength. I am sure when Matthew met God, God said. Well done good and faithful servant . Peace on Matthew's life in eternity.
    Rest in peace my friend.
