Thankyou to our first respondants on this site

Well we are off and running,thankyou for the good wishes from the Canadians who have added their two bits so far to this blog.

The mention of Soldier On will be watched by all to see how we may get involved in the upcoming months Thankyou to Eric Payne of Warren Grove PEI for his submission.

I would like to pose this question for thought and discussion if anyone would like to answer, we welcome your opinions both pro and con.

The question Despite the fact that we have troops heavily involved in Afghanistan does anyone really know the reason that we are there?

Hi Rob
Interesting, but I doubt you were a Boy Soldier per se I believe you were an Apprentice Soldier(RCASC) and there is a difference. Boy Soldiers were in the 40s and I was one of them. (now 80) You held the rank of Boy and received 70 cents a day until 18 years of age. I too was RCASC and Logistics. Your name and face ring a bell I think in CFSAL Food Service.
