I cannot believe the vile observations by so called Canadians on the CBC story of the event on the Hill. .
1060 at last count. The majority were against the tribute, a few were in favour, some were just TWADDLE.
Yes we never celebrated the safe return of our troops from, The Congo, Bosnia, Kosovo, Egypt, Cyprus or indeed Somalia.
For a change the Canadian Government put on a grand show of welcome and thank you to the Troops involed in the Mission in Libya. I can understand why we are not celebrating the completion of the Afghan mission. Certianly it is not over and we still have a thousand or more Canadian Troops involved in training and security.
Canada has never really feted any return of soldiers since WW2 and it is about time we did.
Well done PM Harper, MND MacKay and the CDS and his soldiers, sailors, and airmen. All of the men and women involved in Operation Mobile whether at home, Italy or Malta and other Mediterranean ports.
Red Friday please be Visible wear Red Today in support of our Troops and their families.
