Bridge Boatswain Mate, Master Seaman (MS) Joseph Rempel (left) assists HMCS Vancouver’s Executive Officer (XO), Lieutenant Commander (LCdr) Ryan Tettamanti (right, while he gives a situation report update to the ships company during an action station exercise. HMCS Vancouver conducts exercise "Battle Problem" as the ship transits to its assigned patrol area off the coast of Libya as part of Operation MOBILE.

Under authority of the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973, HMCS Vancouver together with Canada’s NATO partners is enforcing an arms embargo and taking actions to protect civilians in Libya as part of Operation Unified Protector.

HMCS Vancouver’s presence demonstrates Canada’s willingness and ability to assist in North Africa by creating a sustained maritime presence in the region while providing a range of readily deployable capabilities to the Government of Canada.

Well my friends when will be in Iran, The arrest of men plotting to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador to the United Nations, has been declared as an act of War. Is this all that the UN Is waiting for? I certainly hope not. Canada does not need three areas of war to be involved in. We must think of Northern and Coastal defences. If Iran ever sends Naval Vessels into Canadian waters then, by all means we must defend our sovereign territory.

Please show support to our Troops and to their families.
