HMCS Vancouver nearing Libya...Syrian conflict heats up

HMCS Vancouver approaches Panama Canal

The Diplomatic Corps is having meetings with regard to Syria.

The ambassadors of Saudi, Kuwait and Bahrain have been recalled. I feel this is the first step in protecting their diplomats. What's next bombing missions over Damascus?

When the three top leaders of the Arab League seem in agreement with the west. I start to wonder what the Arabs have up their sleeves.

The Saudis who in fact are the keepers of slaves both female and TCN make me laugh when they say that Assad is being cruel to his people and must start the Democratic process in Syria. THis from a King who totally subjucates the female population and the Third Country Nationals who do all the work in Saudi. Even Kuwait and Bahrain subjugate women and their TCN's as well.

How countries who govern as they do can make such ludicrous statements to other dictatorships is beyond me.

Meanwhile as the bombing continues in Libya. Gadaffi and his band of loyalists are still there. They seem to be in no hurray to depart their country.

HMCS Vancouver should be nearby now and preparing to replace HMCS Charlottetown.

Our air assets and support staff are still bombing Libya on a round the clock basis.

Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Vancouver approaches the Bridge of the Americas in Panama before a quick port visit prior to transiting the Panama Canal on 29 July 2011.

The Bridge of the Americas separates North and South America.

HMCS Vancouver departed Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Esquimalt on 10 July 2011 to replace HMCS Charlottetown in the Mediterranean Sea for Operation Mobile.

OP Mobile is Canada's contribution to the NATO arms embargo and "no fly zone" in Libya.
