294 to 1......... not the canucks/bruins score

Sadness of a Soldier

I never believed I would actually be in agreement with a Green Party member. Nor did I believe that all of the Orange Party would vote in favour of extending Canada's mission in Libya.

It is with a great deal of sadness that I watched the debate on the parliamentarty channel. 294 Yea's and one solitary Nay to keep our troops in Harms way.

As Elizabeth May said this is an opened war, with no forseeable closure date. Our PM and MND believe in the mission. As much as I support the Conservative Party I can feel free as a Canadian to have an opposing view in this matter.

I would have thought that the costly mission 156 soldiers of Canada and many others of Nato not counting Civilians and NGO staffers. This unending mission has been devastating for many Canadians.

I pray that the mission remains in Italy and at sea for Canada. The minute we put boots on the ground is the time that, flag draped caskets will once again be returning to Canada.

Give them Dollars Give Them Food but do not give them anymore Canadian Lives.

This is a brief excerpt from another CBC story:

Soldiers treated before re-deployment

The military won't reveal how many soldiers with PTSD that it has sent back to the frontlines, but the practice has been happening during its 10-year mission in Afghanistan.

THis in itsself is extremly dangerous for the health and welfare of our troops. see the full story here:
