Military Blog Site - with Robby McRobb Blog

Monday after a weekend of Carnage

Death and Destruction continues in Afghanistan

Another tragic w/e in Afghanistan, including a suicide bomber with an Ice Cream Cart who took out 2 children. For the life of me I cannot understand these terrible bombings. They are Muslims killing Muslims. This is not the fault of ISAF or NATO troops. This is just the total lack of concern or compassion for lives of local Afghanis.

The killing of these children is terrible, No matter how much firepower the west may have, they cannot stop these suicide bombers.

CBC tabled a poll asking whether Canadians  should extend the mission in Libya? after 48 hours these are the results:

Thank you for voting! Yes 24.89% (58 votes) No 70.39% (164 votes) I'm not sure 3.43% (8 votes) I don't care 1.29% (3 votes) Total Votes: 233 Certainly not a lot of interest in this poll, even though the cost will exceed 60 million dollars should the June 15th vote in the house go in favour of prolonging this mission. This being said our Cobat Tropps are tying up loose ends in Kandahar before being repatriated with honour from this agonizing mission in Afghanistan. I for one hope the vote is against extension and our air men and women come home. PLEASE SHOW SUPPORT for our Troops and their families. Nil Sine Labore Robby
