At last Canadians have a Majority Government,with a PM who had the good sense to retain The Right Honourable Peter MacKay as our MND. I also feel very pleased about the appontment of Julian Fantino as associate MND.
His primary role will be as director of procurement:
Mr. Fantino – the former top cop in Toronto and Ontario – will be responsible for defence procurement. It’s a huge responsibility given the National Defence budget is about $22-billion and between 14 and 16 per cent is for procurement.
