Operation “Geronimo”

Training in Kandahar

As the western World absorbed the news of the death of Osama Bin Laden. We must now think what this  action will have to do with our troops and indeed western citizens globally.

As Canada is preparing to return our Combat troops home from Afghanistan, after a decade of fighting. The troops returning home from this final tour will need time now to re charge their proverbial batteries. To get reacquainted with family and loved ones. They will also be remembering the 155 young Canadian soldiers killed in this war.

Many will have PTSD which our new Majority Government must address ASAP.  PM Harper and his MND and Veterans  Ministers must sit down with the Medical Staff, Commanders and soldiers to see how they can help these men and women return to their previous happy lives.

As for Afghanistan and our training staff we are leaving behind , they too must be looked after when they return to the Land of the Maple Leaf.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai said Osama bin Laden’s death in Pakistan proves that his country is “not the place of terrorism.”

“If the international forces are true allies of the Afghans, they should come out and say that the killing of Afghans, children and elders which took place over the many years on a daily basis was not a good idea,” Mr. Karzai said Monday on state television.

This man is the most ungrateful leader I have ever heard of.  NATO.ISAF and many other countries of the coalition have been fighting on behalf of Afghanis to make their country safe and Democratic. Who does he think he is. He holds his hand out and takes as much money as the US, UK, Canada etc will give him and his corrupt officials. Then he denounces the actions of NATO troops.

It is time for NATO and western Governments to re assess this situation and move on and out of Afghanistan . Leave it to them to govern and maintain a semblance of Democracy.

Sadly the Death of bin laden will not stop Al Quaida not the other extremists within the terrorist organizations.

So Mr Harper a Full Majority Congratulations,

Now see about returning Canadians from all these war torn countries and look after Canada’s borders.

Please Support our Troops and their Families
