The actions of a Fearmonger Terry Jones (pastor)

A weary warrior of Canada

The sickening disgusting act by a mental midget (so called Pastor) in Florida has caused a firestorm of protest and destruction. Sadly,  involving the killing of innocent people, aid personnel from the UN, local civilians. Police officers.  All due to the fact that a foolish man wanted his 15 minutes of fame.  Well I as a Christian cannot understand the idiocy of burning another Religion’s  holy book.

Christians must now  distance them selves from such actions.  Christianity as I learned preaches  peace and tolerance. ( turn the other cheek)  I say that the burning of the Koran is not an act of Christianity, nor sadly is the killing and rioting in Afghanistan and other places a sign of Islam.

Our soldiers, NGO staff and embassy staff are being targeted as well as the other coalition members in Afghanistan. This is the last thing they need. It simply justifies the taliban in areas that were on the verge of change and acceptance of a democratic society. With education and freedom.

This and the war in Libya Should not, Dare not become (as Ghadaffi threatened ) a war between Christianity and Islam.

Canadians are involved, heavily in wars on 2 fronts a very risky situation for any country with a small military force. As professional as they are, spreading them so thin is dangerous. HMCS Charlottetown is now tasked as part of the NATO fleet in the waters of the Med. To stop and search ships which may be trying to run the embargo  against Libya.

On the election front I pray that Veterans do not listen to the carrot dangling of taliban Jack. His party is not going to introduce any changes to the Veterans Charter. He is not a military supporter. Check his comments throughout the years in Hansard. The party of Peter MacKay is the only party that cares about our Military and their families.

So as our latest young soldier is laid to rest. I pray that the actions of a former hotel manager turned Evangelical Pastor cause no more deaths.

Please Support our Troops and their Families.

Here is what your party stands for.
    - April 5, 2011 at 06:55:07

Quote from a newpaper (A Dartmouth volunteer who helps homeless veterans was turned away from a Stephen Harper election rally last week and the man calls it a slap in the face to those who have been injured in service of their country. Jim Lowther of the Veterans Emergency Transition Team said he is apolitical but will stand with anyone who promises to help the people he helps: former Canadian Forces members who find themselves living on the street, often as a result of psychological disorders caused by their service). Now, if you want to support this party then it's a wasted vote! " Our soldiers, NGO staff and embassy staff are being targeted" ,our troops have been a target since the day we step foot in that country. They should have ended this losing mission when they had the chance. To many young troops that did not come home.
