" Election day BREAKING News"

Coalition part 1

Veterans Needs

Direct from the news wires. Mohamar Ghadafi and Osama Bin Laden. Have volunteered to set up a coalition government in Canada. This would save us the possibility of a Coalition of Curly,Larry and Moe.

They promise to include Elizabeth May in their debate providing 1-she wear a complete burkh 2- Does not speak until spoken too.

As you must be aware by now today is April Fools day. The day of  the Spaghetti tree harvest, the Google Translation App to translate your pets barks and meows. A bit of harmless humour in these days of Global unrest. Hope this brought a smile to your day.

On a more serious note I am saddened to read the CBC news article with regard to the upswing of domestic violence in military families.

A CBC News investigation has found a disturbing rise in domestic violence among soldiers returning from deployment in Afghanistan.

Domestic violence on Canadian military bases has climbed steadily in recent years, coinciding with the return of soldiers who carry physical and psychological battle wounds home.

The problem exists in military communities across the country, but is acute at Ontario's Canadian Forces Base Petawawa where a spike in cases was noted after troops returned from Operation Athena in Afghanistan in 2007.

Military police documented the trend in a 2008 report that was not released, but that CBC News has obtained through Access to Information.

Our troops and their familes require care and comfort for all they have given to Canada. All parties must be aware of this in their electioneering. These are Canadians who love their country.

Please see attached PDf which I received as a rather lengthy E mail. It is ver important.

Please Wear red Today Friday and show support for our troops and their families.

"I was normal." If I had a nickel for every time I heard this line or something like it in the last ten years, Id be a wealthy woman. My heart breaks for these men and women and their families. All I can think of to say at this point is SHAME! Shame on us all for allowing this to continue. Shame on us for not reaching out to these walking wounded, once - twice - three times - one hundred times, if that's what it takes. The non-compliance statement is an age old cop out. Get off their a**** and do their job. Ensure the ill and injured are cared for, not only administratively, but compassionately. It's the very least we can do!
