“Little things mean a lot”

12 RBC

Cpl Karen Blais part 1
Cpl Karen Blais Part 2

The words from that old song, were brought home to me today. I was called by our Web Editor Jocelyn telling me that I had a parcel waiting at the Guardian Office. I went to retrieve it and I have never felt so humbled as I did when I opened the package.

It contained a memorial booklet honouring Cpl Karen Blais, prepared by members of her Regiment,      12 RBC   I have copied some pages onto 2 PDfs for your perusal.

I am saddened each and everytime  that we hear of a Canadian Soldier paying the ultimate price. I am sure that Karen’s Family and Friends miss her smile very much. I thank the members of Regiment for thinking of me and I salute them as Proud Canadian Soldiers. I thank them for their sacrifices and devotion to Duty.

Sadly in Toronto today a Policeman was killed in the line of duty. His family  Loved ones and fellow officers. I pass on my Condolences.
