Relative Calm in Kandahar...

Canadian Army

Thankfully we have had no Canadian Casualties over the festive season.Sadly another young British soldier was taken by an ied on New Years day. Condolences to his family, loved ones and his brothers in arms.

I would like to take today to link readers to 2......30 minute videos of Canadians  in the miltary.

The first is a very current Video of the Rangers  trekking from Kitimat BC to Churchill Manitoba by Snow mobile. An epic journey by brave Canadian Rangers who serve to protect our Northern borders. If for some reason the link does not work then please cut and paste . You will need 30 minutes of your time to enjoy this video.

The second Video is of great interest to soldiers of the Cold War, who knows perhaps you will see your self, your unit or a buddy. This Video is in excellent shape and around 50 years old. Made by the US Army cinematic services. Sadly we see a Canadian Guard NCO speaking  prior to the Liberal decision to drop the Guards  the Blackwatch and the Queen's Own Highlanders of Canada. A sad time in military history.

For us "old' vets. this is really interesting and worth viewing.

Am sure it will bring back some memories

Do take care and have a wonderful day

Both of these Videos were sent to me by Fellow Cook and Corps brother Ed Oursien in the Miramachi. Thanks Ed.

May you all enjoy these Videos.

Support Our Troops and their Families wher ever they may serve.
