Thursday ( I am busy Friday and Saturday) PC Convention

Bridging in NL

Local Soldiers PEI Regiment

Good Day

I reflect on the recent election in NB and the upcoming Leadership election in Charlottetown on Saturday at the Progressive Conservative Convention. Such clean and sterile gatherings to place a vote for the candidate you choose. Far from the disasterous, fraud filled elections in Afghanistan. Where killings and kidnappings are commonplace.

Whom do we have to thank for this Freedom to Vote, quite simply the members of Canada’s military throughout the years. Currently we have troops building bridges and repairing Roads in Newfoundland. This is as it should be our troops helping out at home, as well as far away. Our Canadian troops are some of the finest men and women in Canada. Their training is top notch. Their dedication and professionalism is second to none. Whether it be the simple act of holding a childs hand in Afghanistan or being part of an event like the Terry Fox run here at home. Our soldiers do all of these things and Canada and CANADIANS Should be extremely proud of them. In 42 short days Remembrance day will once again be here. The 11th of November is our day of Remembrance across this great country. Sadly it will be the first year where no Canadian Veteran of WW! Is still above the soil.

As for Afghanistan I must admit I laughed at the CBC headline family members may be receiving funds from leaders>. What are they on about NATURALLY they are paying siblings and extended members of their families. The funds are like Manna from heaven. Or actually from the Free world. We  the taxpayer are paying them to be corrupt. A lot more funding should be going into DVA coffers for our own soldiers.

Todays PDF link highlights our local Reserve Unit.

On a brighter note Jeanette Asenault who wrote our hymn for the Invisible familes is very busy check out these sites.
