Once again time has flown and we have another Red Friday. A day to proudly wear Red to show Visible Support of our Troops.
The battles continue in Afghanistan and our Troops are facing dangers daily that ordinary Canadians would not wish to face. As 1000 Voting Stations will remain closed, for the upcoming election, Insurgent activity will definetely increase.
We thank our soldiers and say a prayer for them. here is the Link to the latest Tribute on behalf of our troops.
This tribute was sent to me by Ed Oursien a reader in the Miramachi. Thanks Ed:

Sadly in May of 2006 Captain Nichola Goddard was Canada's first female Soldier killed in Combat in Afghanistan. Here is an excerpt on a new book about her. The Definition of "Sunray" follows;
Sunray is a term used in radio voice procedure, the conventions used in radio conversation, in the British military and the military of Allied nations.
It refers to the formation commander and a synonym of leader. This could be a commander of platoon, company, combat group, battalion, or battle group. The second-in-command is also referred to as "Sunray Minor".
Edmonton Journal, September 5, 2010:
