Red Friday

In Memory of 9/11

Red Friday and and the mental Instability of a Southern Preacher.

Tomorrow is another wear Red Friday and as we go about our business at home our troops and our allies are facing mounting pressure by the taliban. This pressure has spilled over into the streets of the world by a foolish misinformed Christian Evangelical preacher in Florida.

I have no idea what bible he has been using all these years. Nowhere do I recall in our Christian bible, telling us to burn and destroy another man’s holy book. The Qur'an is the Holy book of the Muslim Faith as the Bible is ours as is the Torah for those of the Jewish faith or the teachings of Buddha.

This man’s plan to burn Qur'ans on Sunday the 11th. The day we all remember with horror from nine years ago as 9/11.

This day will be forever etched in our memories and I am sure it is a date that most of us remember where we were, when heard of the aircraft crashing into the Twin Towers in NYC.

By burning these holy books, he is infuriating both radical and non radical Muslims. The extremists will have a field day, they will burn, attack and demolish anything remotely Christian or as they say an Infidel.

Our troops in Afghanistan have enough to concern themselves with, taliban insurgents, LEDs and now to have to worry more about gangs of younger radicals protesting in the streets and burning flags. Because of an idiot practicing Christianity and his foolish interpretation of the Bible, whether the King James version or the newer version SHAME on Him, SHAME on the fools who will participate. (Redneck comes to mind)

This preacher should be locked up for inciting both hatred and riots. We have all enjoyed a laugh or two over the years of the Evangelists on TV Curing people with terrible diseases and afflictions. Jim and Tammy Baker come to mind, preaching and filling their personal bank accounts on the backs of the poor and religious folks of the Southern USA. This Burning Party is beyond laughter.

Apparently the Rev. has received Death Threats so he has armed himself with a pistol. This too would seem against Christian teachings.

Here on PEI The Holy Redeemer Hall has graciously allowed the Muslim  worshippers of PEI to use their Hall today Friday the 10 th. To celebrate the feast of Eid which is the  end of Ramadan for this year. This Christian Gesture sadly will not get the press coverage that a non Christian event will get in Florida.

Nine Years after the atrocity that was the Twin Towers  surely we must realise that although complete forgiveness will never be achieved, we must strive to live in peace and harmony. Our troops are fighting for that in Afghanistan.

Please say a prayer or give a thought to our troops, their allies, families and loved ones. Whether at Church, Chapel, Temple, Synagogue or in your own home. Thank You

Sadly this man, and I refused to refer to him as Reverend isn't even original in his hate filled motivations. The Nazis did this in the late 1930's burning books authored by Jews.
