A Green Monster ,supports our Troops and sends a Video.

Red Friday

As PEI experiences  somewhat, the temperatures of Afghanistan, perhaps it may make some realize that our Canadian Troops are living and fighting in temps much higher. As they go about their duties, all I ask at home here is that you show your support. The simple act of wearing Red on a Friday.

 As a hard core Tory. I wore my Red Support our troops shirt and Vest to the BBQ in honour of PM Harper. This was held in Crapaud  a couple of Fridays back. I was asked a couple of times do you not know that this is a Conservative BBQ. Red is Liberal. I said No on Fridays Red is the Colour of support.

 Political colours be damned. In the entire crowd only 3 people were showing their support  visually, not many at all.

So once again I ask you as Canadians  show your Pride and support of our military. Pick up a T shirt a Golf Shirt a Hoodie in many stores as well as at the local Military Families Services Centre in your area.

Cpl Pinksen arrived home yesterday, another young Canadian that will never  be a father , a husband or a grandfather. His call to duty  sadly included him paying the ultimate price. God Bless him and his family.

Once again I received a wonderful link from Rex an apprentice brother of mine. Enjoy this link and have a Kleenex handy.  It is not a Canadian Helping Canadians but a US Lady who honours their troops in her own marvelous way.

From Rex;

God Bless This Woman!!

This is so awesome to watch.  This woman deserves our praise and prayers.  It'll bring a tear to your eyes!!!

    The Hot Humid Conditions in Canda, may replicate some temps from Afghanistan. But they are by no means as fierce as they are. Wearing 65 pounds of kit,and being on lookout for ied's, suicide bombers and the possibility of Insurgent Snipers. But we do our job as professionally as possible under extreme circumstance. As a British Squaddie I will miss our Canadian Combat Allies. They are super, brave soldiers both men and women. God Bless Canada and the Canadian Troops.
