It would be lovely if the concert organizers didn't rip off loyal fans of the festival by offering a deal way after tickets have gone on sale. I have worked so hard to purchase my ticket for one night and then two days after i bought my ticket they offer a deal that would allow me to go to all four days for a mildly higher cost and t would include the bridge fee. They say that the deal is targeted to "long-haul" travellers, well let me ask how is that being supportive of the community that supports them year after year? By offering this deal I wish I never bought tickets that support the organizers who have no respect to their loyal fans and to people who have previously purchased tickets. I know some people are saying that people who think like me are just whining and want us to "suck it up" but we are not talking a few dollars we are talking over 100. For people like me that is a great deal of money. Organizers should have given this deal to people who supported them from the start. I just feel so disappointed and so let down.

I think the success of this festival leaves the Island with a few more benefits than a heap of trash. Shame on the organizers indeed.

Check out mainstage act Jetty Road on Friday July 8 if you can. They are one of Australia's biggest country bands right now and are phenomenal live.

Great. Now if the Cavendish Music Festival folks could just learn to stand on their own feet and stop relying on taxpayer subsidies($200,000 last year and $150,000 this year). And how much of that is going in their own pockets when all we're left with is a great big heap of trash and plastic beer cups. Shame, shame, shame
